I have a 5 ton Payne heat pump and the thermostat flashed Replace Filter, so I did and followed directions on how to rest thermostat. Still flashing.

There will be a reset button somewhere, probably on the unit itself or behind the thermostat programming door. Look for the owner’s manual for the unit if it is not obvious.
